About Me:

DrFreyjaMannHeadshot.jpg

I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience working in mental health in a variety of roles and settings.

I completed training to doctoral level in the UK, where I am from, and have been living and working in New Zealand since 2019.

My training has covered all stages of life, though my passion lies primarily in supporting children/young people age 5-25 and their families.

My professional qualifications include:

  • Registered Clinical Psychologist in New Zealand

  • Full Member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists

  • Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy)

  • Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology – First Class Honours (Bsc(hons))

  • Continued Professional Development including but not limited to training in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attachment, and Trauma.

Working Together

I use a variety of approaches to support people, and in my work I often have conversations about thoughts, feelings, and important relationships. I am always aware that people do not exist in isolation, and I find working with families and wider support networks often has the biggest impact.

Ultimately, I believe people do the best they can with the resources they have in the situations they find themselves in.

I am passionate about offering individuals and families some extra support at the times in their lives when they need it, with a view to uncovering and building up people’s resources in a way that means they can go on to achieve their potential in the presence of challenges.

Some areas we may be able to work on together include

  •  Anxiety

  • Low Mood

  • Adjusting to changes

  • Parenting and family dynamics

  • Challenges associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Therapy Session

What  To Expect

We will arrange a first session to talk through what you would like support with and how things have been going. We will talk through your options. This may include further sessions with me or it may be that we feel another service or person would be better placed to help you.

If we both agree we would like to book more sessions together, these will be around 50mins and will usually be either weekly or fortnightly initially.

Professional Development

I offer clinical supervision, consultation and training across New Zealand.

Please get in touch to discuss if you, your team, or organisation may be able to benefit from some one off or ongoing support in any of these areas.
